All my fish and shrimp are fine but the hermits are dying. I used to have 20 now 10 of them have died. I did all the tests and the only problem is a high SG. Is this the problem?

What are the other readings in your tank? How often do you do water changes, and when you do them, do you make sure the water matches what you have taken out as far as salinity, temp and ph? What type of fish do you have? Are any known to be crab eaters?

In addition to what Hara said; Have you noticed any predation by other hermits?
Are they all from the same batch and around the same age?
How long have you had them?

They could be hidden in the rock or sand also. If you have alot of rock I`ll bet they are in it.
