Hello everyone, I’m new to the hobby. I’ve got as far as buying a used Evolution Aqua Reef Pro 1500s (117 gallons, 536 litres). It was previously used for Marine and comes with a sump which I’ve been told makes Tropical a little easier.
I’ve got 2 little jobs to navigate before starting : One is to get a removal company to budge the tank up a centimetre so it’s flush on the unit, as it’s been set down a little off by my 4 neighbours who collected it and never want to see it again!
Then I’ve got to work out how to fit all the pipework that it came with!
After that, my local store will talk me through the cycling process with a little livestock in the tank - he assured me it’s good to put something live in after a week to produce natural waste.
So, that’s the plan! It’ll be a slow process I’m sure, but very excited to get going and be part of your community support.Thanks for having me!
