I keep my tank temp at 82 deg F. The last few days it's been really hot in my area (aprox 90+ degs). So doing the day (when the house is closed up) temps get really hot. The other day came home to a Tank Temp of 90 deg. I said "OMG". Later in he evening (after the house is opened up) temps go down but still higher than 82. Suprisingly the fish seem to be doing fine.

Any tips on keeping tank temps down without getting a chiller?

P.S. No AC in my home.

Thanks

Throw some ice cubes in a bag and float them. Open the lids and position a fan on the waters surface of you can..

+1 and another thing i do is get a few ice packs large ones put them in a ziplock float em or small pwc

Careful if using ice cubes, make sure you treat the water first before freezing.

Well that's why you put it in a ziplock you can just use your ice cubes from the freezerv
