Are you seeing any issues with your fish? That is the best indicator.
Not really an issue with freshwater fish, although im sure that there is a level at which it becomes a problem if it gets way out there. This may happen if you overdose with copper containing medications. More of an issue with inverts in a freshwater aquariums.
