Horwort in aquariums

Has anyone had experience collecting hornwort from a clean lake or reservoir? If so, how did you clean it before placing it in the aquarium?

I put paper towels in a sink lay the plant on them, then pour Hydrogen Peroxide 3% over them. Next I lay the wet paper towels over the plants and leave them sit 20 minutes. Once they have sat I literally plant them in the tank without rinsing the Peroxide off.

Collected some Hornwort today and did what you said.....Is it ok if it just floats around in the current?....I would assume that as it grows, it will take a more permanent position in the tank.....

Hornwort is a floating plant so it's right where it's used to being.
