how can u tell the difference between a male/female CORY??

I've always wondered how to distinguish a male from a female cory.

does anyone know of a good technique ???

I have a total of 11 cories in different tanks...I guess I have all males because I really can't tell the difference.

They have to be full grown and ready to spawn to really tell the difference. if the female is not full of eggs it is tough to tell.

Thanks Stuart. That was great reading. Every book I own and any where I ever looked only mentioned the size. Thank you. I may find I have some cories with issues now. I hope I didn't ruin them for life.

yeah likewise !!

i have cories that are a little bigger than others.
But I don't know if thats due to age differences or just being fat.
