How often should I feed them lettuce/veggies?

I recently added some red cherry shrimp to my tank, and along with my 2 plecos, I gave them some blanched lettuce out of my garden last weekend. They devoured it!

I have no visible algae and it's sparsely live-planted. How often should I give them a veggie treat? Once a week? A month?

I feed veggies weekly. I remove them after 24 hours now to prevent them from falling apart and fouling the water. blanched zucchini and romaine are my staple items, along with cooked peas. Heck, found a millipede crawling on the carpet and tossed him in there too.

I never feed my shrimps, they eat everything they find like uneaten food (often my bottom feeder's food) or algae.
