How to keep quarantine tank cycled?

Hey everyone. I always have a 10 gallon tank sitting around wait to be a qt tank.. But how can I keep it cycled? Should I use media from an established tank every time I set it up or just leave it running and dose ammonia every once in a while? I'm not sure what to do. Thanks for any advice.

Just run your qt filter on an established tank, that way the BB is always there. Also, this way you can take down your qt tank whenever you're not using it.
