How to kill my betta

My betta got stuck in an ornament. Only way i could get him out was to push him out. His body is badly damaged and hes just lying at the bottom of the tank.

I think its time for him to be taking out of his pain. Whats the best way to do this.

Fill a glass with water and ice, leave it in the freezer for 10 min and then put him in there, back in the freezer for 10 more minutes
