How to sex convicts!?

The friendliest place on the web for anyone with an interest in aquariums or fish keeping!
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
Not to sound harsh but don't bother looking at the color of the fish to sex it. Look at the dorsal fin, if it has a black patch than it is a female.

Above the 4th vertical stripe at the base of the dorsal fin.

Oooh is dorsal fin at the top? I thought that was the bottom fin. I do see a bit black patch on the one with red for sure.

Okay so i now know that i have a male and female convict baby. With the big guy... i cant get a good picture of the "patch" on the dorsal fin. Its like three lines that continues from its side stripes...

No, it will be where gillie pointed it out in your female. Calico convicts can have black in the fins, and may not be female.
