HT-300 Submersible Heater

Okay, I ordered this heater and it clearly says submersible; however, I am confused now that the manual shows a minimum water level...so can I stick it all the way down inside my tank or not...I have the old HOB kind on my 55 so this type is new to me and I do not want to damage it...Help PLZZZZ...

That means it has to be at least that high you should be able to dunk the whole thing in there. Some people like to leave the adjustment knob above the water line to make it easier to adjust it.
