Hi can anyone tell me if the hydor external heater is any good. I am thinking about getting one

They work as well as any other heater. The main advantage is being able to get equipment out of the tank.

Yes thats what i was thinking, at least i wont have to hide it with a piece of decor thanks for the info

Many reasons to go external

I have over a dozen of the Hydor ETH external heaters running and I have had great success with them.I would recommend them for the following reasons:1) No visible heater in tank2) No worries about fish or water temperature breaking one3) No worries about electricity in tank4) Easy to adjust temperature as external controls5) Good customer service6) Shut off automatically when no water flow
