I know I *said* I wasn't fish-shopping this weekend, but...

I came across a deal at the NADA discus convention that I couldn't refuse! They're not discus, but still a great pickup- I got 6 juvenile half black lace angelfish, and the seller was kind enough to give me 3 little platinum juveniles as well! They're acclimating into their 20 gallon high tank right now. I managed to get a few pics, but I'll have to update with better ones later.

They are growing out to pair off. If we get incredibly lucky, we'll end up with a platinum pair in addition to the half black pair. We'll probably separate them at some point so the half blacks will have no choice but to pair with other half blacks. As HN1 mentioned, we tried at first to buy the adult half black pair, but they had been sold long before I made up my mind to buy. I might have gone for the platinum adult pair at that point, but turns out they had sold quickly as well. It's ok though, we got these awesome juvies instead, and it will be more effort, but also a lot cheaper, to get the desired result.

I need to get some small angelfish for my 55 gallon aquarium.

Wanted to update with a few pics. All angels are doing well. I'm impatient and want them to hurry up and grow, so they're fed 3-4 times a day and have had 5x 50-60% water changes this week. I figure that sort of schedule ought to do the trick.
