...the Barbs were feasting on them. I hope that some of them find their way to safe havens. I also have Dwarf Puffers so I'm not sure if any of the Corys will survive.

I garuanttee they will not. Don't feel too bad, 99.9% of cory eggs in any community tank will be eaten. Unless the tank is heavly planted and aquascaped the fry once hatched are going to end up a snack for someone including their parents.

I figured as much. I'm trying to establish a planted tank and have some artificial grass as well. Maybe 0.1% will make it.
