of course. this is just the start of what i wanna do. i just got it friday :) ive got a large dry coral piece i wanna add into it currently. just havnt decided where i wanna place it

went to the store and brought in a water sample since they test for free. and found out my nitrates where REALLY high....so instead of buying some more fish and snails i grab my buckets and do another 50% water change. this time i siphon the sand at the bottom so hopefully *fingers crossed* i will be ok tomorrow and get the new fish i have on hold for me :) i also added a new piece of live rock, redid the rock sculpting since i was moving everything anyway. and added a piece of my barnacle coral ive had for years. apparently my hermit really loves the barnacles. he wont leave the piece alone lol. anyways. pics tomorrow when its all cleared up :) i also have some floating algea looking stuff that floats around the bottom of my tank. any fish that takes care of that stuff or do i have to keep netting it all when it moves into areas i can net?

dont know if anyone is reading or following this...but just got some new fish today along with some hermits and snails and redecorated. pics incoming!

I'm sorry, but I don't think you've properly done your research on setting up a tank. The tank also isn't appropriately sized for any tang. Nor do I think your tank was even cycled from the way it sounds.

I think it may be time to go back and read up on cycling, and research a fish before you buy it.

Slow down! I know it's hard but dont set your self up for a fail. I see a lot of folks do the same thing Then lose interest or say it's just to hard to keep a saltwater tank Think long term when i look at my tank i dont see 2m im looking at next year.

yeah my main next things will be upgrading the equipment. im looking at getting some better powerheads as im not sure which ones these are but they def could use a vinegar soak. just gotta wait till i can get back ups to do that. after that im thinking im going to work on getting a sump and switching out my canister filter for it. seems alot easier to maintain and i like the idea of the natural filter over sponges.
