Hi just saved this cichlid from a local breeder it was in a tank way to small and was being bullied all the time but the breeder didn't have a clue on species any ideas.

That's what it looks like to me anyway.Fairly peaceful even for peacocks.That might explain the bullying.

Thanks garfy I just searched for them I'm wondering if he is a cross because the pics I looked at had a lot more yellow what do you think.

Yes they do have more yellow but yours could be still colouring up or simply not be as colourful due to the bullying.Let him settle in and I'm sure his colour will change drastically as long as he is happy and not stressed.
