Got this little guy from a mixed tank when he was about 2 cm long. He was completely black when I got him but now he's getting some blue. Any idea what this might be? Thanks guys:)

Definitely not a regal peacock. Its an mbuna for sure.

It's a female kenyi. I have a couple in my mbuna tank. Idk how old it is but if it starts turning yellow it is probably a male.

It's a mbuna looks colored down too that makes it hard to id but its def not a kenyi

Too dark to be a kenyi.. Plus it has a red trim around the fin.. Will post a better pic after work

Not a peacock or kenyi it looks to be female probably part of the elongatus family.

+1 it's a female Kenyi I used to breed Kenyi's. No doubt in my mind.

I've had many Kenyi's just like that one. There's no set number of vertical bars.

The bars on the op's fish look nothing like the kenyi's I've kept them also

Guys... come on. Kenyi's can look both ways. Stop getting butthurt if someone says you're wrong, because you probably aren't. My vote is that it is a Kenyi.

But hurt lol right. I'm just going off what I think, if your kenyi looks like that then u have a badly bred fish

I don't think it's a kenyi.. Way darker than any I've ever seen. This guy is colored just like a demasoni but it has a red outline to the top fin.. Not sure I think it's a mutt of some sort

Nah I know it isn't a Demasoni. The shape, color, and pattern aren't right. If it isn't a Kenyi, it's just a general Mbuna.
