Title says it all!

I was gifted a tank with a piece of driftwood, a few rocks, and an exceptionally hardy Albino Bristle-nose Pleco. Little guy stopped growing at 4 inches about 2 years ago (according to the owner).

I'm looking to swap out the substrate for some fluval stratum so I can grow some low-tech plants, but I mainly want to cultivate flame moss on a rock in there before introducing some cherry shrimp!

The only changes I have made are cleaning the Fluval 106 canister filter every other month, and introducing 2 Assassin Snails to help with the out-of control diatom action in there. There were originally some Anubias in there, but I removed them due to their sustaining a sizeable trumpet snail infestation.

Any help is appreciated! I'm extremely new to all of this :thanks:
