Is there a special type of instant glue to put on Driftwood and attach Java Moss to?

I also saw some natural, self-dissolving string on Amazon for this purpose. Has anyone ever tried using this stuff? I was surprised to see it existed and assumed it must be necessary sometimes.

I tried cotton and it dissolved before the plants had rooted. I use thin jewelry thread usually but every now and then it has to be glue.
