The tree is manzanita wood and weeping moss if I remember correctly. I ran across the log on that build a while ago, but I don't remember where it was.

For the island attached to the back of the tank I would find a piece of driftwood and drill holes in the back. I'd use aquarium caulk as a glue to hold suction cups in the holes.

The island would probably be better if it had a light-weight frame. I would try plastic sewing mesh (it 50 cents at Michaels in the needlework section), so that the moss would come through the bottom too. And just attach it with suction cups.

The reason I thought of driftwood is this design from the AGA website. I agree if you want a big island it should be light. These look nice, too.

Tell me about it!! Did you look at any other pics on the site? It's a good place to get ideas. Some pics have "blueprints" under them that show the names of the plaants and the layout.

I've never heard of spiderwood, but the wood in the video looks like Manzy to me.
