I bought 20 Neon Tetras 2 months ago, put them in a 10 gallon 78 degree quarantine tank that had no previously sick fish, or medication, has been up and running for 3 months before I bought the Neons. I'm down to 15 Neon Tetras, 5 of them I needed to euthanize. All 5 showed identical symptoms: fast "chewing" of their mouth, not eating, lumpy stomach/underside, pale/discoloration spots, dorsal fin deteriorated, not schooling, shimmies. However, these 5 fish showed these symptoms all at different times - they did not get sick at the same time. 1 would get sick, euthanize, all fish fine for 2 weeks, then another sick, euthanize, all fish fine for 1 week, etc. I have been treating with Seachem Paraguard for 1 week now following the recommended dosing, but dividing it up into half doses, 2 times a day (I heard this is better to do for Tetras), and have treated with Paraguard for 2 separate 1-week treatments within the last 2 months. But the symptoms have returned. What could this be? Internal parasites? (I just ordered Prazipro which I'll start Wednesday) (I haven't dealt with any other disease other than this one, but it seems something is eating the fish from the insides, I don't know, just a guess, and plus Paraguard doesn't treat internal parasites)

Pictures: You'll notice the pale/discoloration spots, schooling, lumpy stomach/underside, deterioated dorsal fin, white spot on it's side? (it's not ich, it's bigger than ich)

I should add I drip acclimated, and the parameters now are Ammonia 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 5, pH 7.4.

I see poop on the bare bottom of my quarantine, but don't see any white stringy poop. What takes 1-2 weeks to infect fish like this? Should I continue Paraguard or switch to Prazipro?
