Is this broken or propagating?

So recently my banana plant finally propagated a new one by breaking a leaf off.
This reddish plant though decided to release all its leaves.
At the base of all these leaves there is a bulb. They just detached and were floating for like 2 days. I planted the roots back into the substrate and left the detached bulb there just in case. I can't remember what this plant is called but if anyone knows is this broken or just duplicating?

I'm not sure, but I do know that a lot of plants will melt and regrow leaves. Keep an eye on it for signs of growth.

If it have roots on it, it'll continue to grow. Add a root tab if you want it to really take off.

The bulb will also continue to sprout plants
