its a virus commonly called caulaflower disease, it creates tuff of white like caulaflower like tuffs on the fish. to treat remove fish and put into quarintine if you have it, and let the fishs immune fight it it's not ususally fatal.

The LFS guy suspected one of my fish had this one time, and said to me, that if I wanted to get rid of it, to pull the fish out and trim it off his fins with a pair of sissors. 8O does that sound right :?:
 
Tim, I have never trimmed a fishes fins with scissors, but I have scraped it off with my thumbnail and swabbed the area with antibiotics.

There really is no medication, it is viral and we can't cure a virus yet.
