How's the tank doing?

The tank is doing good ammonia is up nitrates started to rise. So it on it way Not rushing anything letting it take it's course.

Nothing good happens fast. In this hobby.

Your doin right by taking your time. Sometimes we lose stuff when transferring. It's sad but it happens. Hopefully they all make it.

This is the other side of wall of were the tank is. Which will eventually become a fishroom . " I have to do slowly so the wife won't figure it out " LOL

Calcium 420
Kh 8

Also I added 1 of the 2 Mp40's to the tank.

Hopefully 2 more weeks.

I had a thought lastnight. I was thinking off drilling holes large enough on my LR so I can put frag plugs in them later instead of glueing them on the LR afterwards and holding them untill glue dries and chancing LR to come tumbling down as I'm trying to glued frags on them.

Any input on this ?

I'm thinking of doing the same thing with my new 60g tank. My b/f said i would need a special drill bit but that it was do-able. Might try epoxy first but the drilling and placing of rods might be an option.

I drilled my LR to the rack platform using a regular drill bit, the LR is soft so it went thru it wit no problem.
Or can just buy a masonary bit and use that. But the regular drill bit worked for me.

Ahh ok, that must be the special bit the b/f mentioned. lol It would have to be uber long too wont' it, so that it can go through the layers of rocks?

They sell them in different lengths. Depends on the depth you want to go. Those masonary bits are a little pricey.

Nothing much happening the tank is still cycling
Ammonia is 0
Nitrate 0
Nitrite 5
Ph 8.2
Cal 480
Kh 7

Good luck with the transfer, I just did one from my 29g cube to my 60g cube and it's always a a pain. LOL

Let us see what the new setup looks like when you finish. :)

Everything is going good so far. Fingers crossed .

Diatom bloom has began.
