Hello! Thanks everyone for the help so far with my tank.
First off I have a 45 gal tank with plants, caves, and lots of other hiding places yet lots of room to swim.
The water was fine, no ammonia with normal nitrites and nitrates, pH at 8 and it is rather hard.
Tankmates are three male swordtails, five rainbowfish, and recently a female betta.
The krib was fine, about an inch long. She was settled in the tank for two weeks probably when I noticed her tummy wasnt red and she looked kind of stressed. I did a big water change and cleaned the filter (it was due to be cleaned anyway) and she seemed better. But the next day she was in the back of the tank not moving at all. I fished her out and put her in a bucket of tank water and she began swimming in loops, circles, upsidedown...I felt so bad! I put her cave in the bucket and a spare filter but she died half and hour later. Everyone else is okay. I dont know what could have caused that! Was she stressed out? I would like to get a new krib but if she had some odd illness I want to go somewhere else then. Thanks!
