They are hard to sex but ideally you would prob want 2:4 m/f. Gravel vac the sand when you do your pwc.

1 Bn pleco would prob be ok.

Bristle nose are much to big for a 20 gallon IMO, in a tank that small the bulldoze everything an are fairly inactive. I had my male in a 15 gallon while the fry where hatching out and he was always stirring up the substrate, and was very listless.

4 lamprologus stappersi and 1 Bn pleco IMO would be fine. With a good filter and weekly 25% water changes this setup should work. Toss in a piece of driftwood for the pleco.

All Plecos poop allot. No plants needed just shells, sand, few rocks and a small piece of wood if you are adding a Pleco.
