The frag in question is very hard to the touch. Almost like touching rock. The polyps will pull in if I touch them.
 
Yeah I wouldn't try that. Are you using rodi water? Maybe your phosphates are high. Maybe if you lower phosphates the algae will die off.
 
Yea I only use ro water. I have zero phosphates when I test. Can u explain alk to me? I tested for it and calcium along with nitrites, trates, ammonia, ph, and salinity.
 
Here's last weeks results. I'm going to retest everything before I hook up sump tonight.
Nitrate- 2.5/12.5
Nitrite- .1
Alk- 3.6
Ph- 8.6
Calcium- 380
Dkh- 12 / kh/gh- 214.8
Phosphate- 1
 
You need to lower those trites!!!! Do pwc until it goes down. And from my understanding alkalinity affects ph somehow.
