Light Making Water Too Warm

I have an Aqueon Incandescent strip light with two 14w CFL bulbs on my 10 gallon shrimp tank. Without the heater or anything, my light beats the tank to 78 degrees which is far too warm for my OEBT shrimp.

Is there any way that I can raise my lamp up like a T5 fixture? So it sits like 3 inches off the hood? Maybe some feet that I can attach to it?

The light runs 5:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM to 10:30 PM.

I'm sure you could figure out a way but the top lid would need to be replaced I'm sure.

If I had a way to raise it up, I would get one of those all-glass Versa tops. This is what I use on my tank that has a T5 lamp.

You can get a couple pieces of scrap wood or plastic and screw to the fixture on the side. It would be the easiest method

What about buying replacement feet for a small T5 lamp? It would certainly look nicer.
