I got a tec light t5 8 bulb 48" got it offcraigs list for $75 it came with 4 white 2 extra blues and a purple and pink bulbs still new in their boxes. Its going over a 75 gallon. How high above the tank should I hang it? Andshould this be enough to put what ever I want in?

yes, it's enough for whatever you want to keep. I would have it about 4" off of the top of the tank. closer if you like.
