Hi all ,

I have marine tank with t8 lamps inside but I want upgrade these to t5 I have 3 ballast already but I just wanted to know if these are good enough for T5 to cope with them.
They are ac36 type c5 36/38 w

It won't work,T5HOs are 54w and T8 are 3 You would need to replace the ballast.

For the most part the ballast will not be compatible however sometimes I've seen a ballast handle it. There may be another issue. The pins may not line up.
