I put limestone in my tank with out reading the effects of limestone on ph and hardness will the ph level off? Or will it continue to flucuate

Why did you put them in?
Yes in time it will affect your ph I don't know what normal is for you.

My norm is 8 ph. That's why I put them in to raise the general hardness. GH
and also KH. Ph n KH are related.

So yes if you take them out it will lower PH and KH. But not immediately.

Honestly i put them in there because i thought that they would make a cool looking cave. I feel pretty dumb about that now

Be careful because altering the ph to much can be harmful to fish.
And also can affect beneficial bacteria.

I have them in my tank. What fish do you have.
Many people have them also. It's a good way to make stable a ph. With out chemicals.

Wow nice fish

Jaguar Cichlids

What is your ph now.
Your Jaguar cichlid will prefer a pH between 7.0 and 8.7 since this is the pH value of its native waters. The recommended dH range is 10-15. The water temperature must be quite high in the aquarium; 77 - 97° F (25 - 36° C). It Say's it from Central America.
This is pretty extreme for a cichlid for the high ranges.

You did nothing wrong. It's a good thing to make the water hard for Cichlids.

I Have Them To: My PH runs from 8 to 8.2
