Live fish food (soldier fly larvae? )

Hello, I have just joined so i am a newbie have had several aquariums in the past and will soon start a small tank in the next couple weeks starting with a small 20 gal. My main problem is this old house I live in built about 1840 with no central heat/air the summer won't be much trouble but the winter is another thing get freezing in the main house guess they can bed up with me and the wife. I do have a question to anybody that might have used this is about soldier fly larvae is this a good live food for tropical fish?

I've read up a bit on BSF larvae and it seems like a good food source for larger fish. I don't know its actual nutritional value, so I'd definitely just rotate it with a good staple food.

I've not tried to make a culture yet but plan to in the near future.
