Pshhh shut it. I liked the second more. Looked like tree branches hanging in the water from the shoreline. I'd still say add some more branches to the other side to tie it all together

And if you want to grow dietary/supplemental algae?? All set!! My vote as well. Said it in freaks thread.. don't know cichlids like you guys but I know leds:) and algae!!! Tank looks great. That dw looks like a storm dropped it right off in the tank.

That light will grow algae in a tank this size ?

It will be awhile before I replace the current pc. It should keep them alive

On full blast most likely, it's dimmable so you'd be fine..

A little better of a picture of the way it is now, my son and daughter love it. I'll see what the wife says when she gets home. I'd fill the tank all the way but I'd rather wait till I get the other types of sand in

Andrew what size is this tank?

I like how you have the DW compared to the other ways.

Andy you had a better day than me buddy.I was having a 5 x 18" x 24" tank delivered to my house today.Used tank by the way.It arrived with maybe half an inch of water in the bottom. When I went to lift the end it felt damp.Oh look there's a big crack in the base.Send this thing back was my only comment.Smh I had plans for that.
Liking the tank layout mate and enjoying following this thread :)

Emailed cichlids of America last night. Guess I'm gonna go with Hericthys Pantostictus Blue Taniul and also Cryptoheros Sajica. Hopefully they respond. My lfs tried to contact them and supposedly they didn't respond to them.

Dan is great, just give him some time. I've never been disappointed...

Yes if you click and zoom in you can see them. However I've seen them eating on some plants. There are 11 of them a few got sucked up into the overflow box and died before I noticed. I feel like I need 20 more. I really want to add some other type of little ones
