From my research, the main tell is their dorsal fin. Males will have longer front “barbs” (the two black parts that are a bit longer on both) and the end will be pointed. With females, the end is rounded. The males typically have longer ventral fins as well. *Note: This is for adult rams. Juvies are hard to sex. Once they start to mature, their differences are noticeable.
think they mostly look like females, due to the curved/rounded fin.
