What types of mbuna's should I stock in my 55g tank? I've heard it's best to keep 3 different species with 4-5 fish in each species (so 12-15 cichlids total). Please post your suggestions.
Also, I've read a 1:4 male to female ratio is important. I'm purchasing them as juveniles, so how should I do this? I don't really want to have to wait until they get older and then get rid of some.
Lastly, I don't have the room to deal with extra cichlids from breeding. I was thinking about purchasing a Dwarf Cuckoo Catfish (Synodontis petricola) to deal with this. But are there better options?
