I bought several silk/plastic aquarium plants at the petstore. I pulled a few of these out of their bases so I could hot glue them onto a piece of driftwood I have. I notice in the center of one of the plants there is a thin wire core. After I checked out several other fake plants (meant for fish) I realized that a LOT of these plants have wire inside.
My question is this. Is this wire rustless, or do the makers of the plants fashion them in such a way that the wire is completely sealed off from water? The plant I mentioned now has a tiny bit of exposed wire and I am afraid to use it.
