I just saw one of these and am really curious about them. I would like to get one for my 40b mixed reef tank but am not sure if they are reef safe or not. Does anyone have any experience with them?

Corals it generally doesnt bother but it has a "50/50 chance" of eating your inverts. Some do fine some don't. The local fish store here lost a lot of business selling them to people as reef safe.

i have never heard "mimic saddle puffer" as a trade name.

in generally i have read recent stories of many kinds of puffers eating corals. hit or miss if you want to try.

Its scientific name is Paraluterus prionurus

It's a filefish that looks like a saddle puffer
