Mixing fish in community tank

Hi everyone I just got my tank and I have 3 guppies and 2 African dwarf frogs what else could I put into there I was looking at a cockatoo chiclid and Mabey a dwarf gouriamis the fish are in a artificial planted tank that is 20 gallons would the chiclid and gouriamis do well in there what about some shrimp?

Dwarf gouramis will be fine the cockatoo cichlids will be fine but sometimes get aggressive to other fish mabe look at electric blue rams they are lovely and are fine in community tank
