Ive got a colony of mushrooms which were demolished by my emperor angel ( who has since been sold back to my lfs ) this demolished colony has since regenerated to a nuisance proportion to the point where they was overgrowing and stinging my nuclear green palys so tonight I've moved the colony and cleared a space for the palys to recover and also place some more zoas ! 3 mushrooms had grown onto the surrounding rocks so I took a surgical blade to them and removed them ! My question is how do I stop the pieces of mushroom flesh that's left behind on the rocks from regenerating these are really fast growing ! Will placing some pieces of rock over them and starving them of light and flow stem their growth ? Here's a pic of the colony obviously they are sulking at the moment as I've only just moved them !
Two of the ones I cut from the rock ! I've placed them on smaller rocks to take back to my lfs
I took them from behind these palys
Moved to the other side of the tank
Where they were
