My shrimp population is going to outgrow my 5 gallon desk tank soon so it's time to stand up the 20L that I bought a couple months ago on sale for $20. I'm going to run dual corner matten filters that were ordered from Swiss tropicals with airlift water returns and a heater. Very simple setup but it should be pretty neat. Here we go!

Back glass painted black. I only did the center so that I can still easily see behind the corner filters.

Looking good. What's your plans on full setup? Lights, substrate etc.

I have a finnex 24/7 planted plus and carrib sea eco complete substrate. I haven't decided on decorations but it will be planted pretty heavily.

Filled with everything in place. The heater hides nicely behind the filter.

Full tank shot. I like it! It's going to look great with plants and shrimp.

Swiss tropical was great to work with. The initial response to the request for the filters was fast and friendly. Once the details were sorted out (a matter of 3 emails in 15 minutes) the order was placed and an invoice was sent. The order was put in the mail the next day. I paid less for the filter setup than I would have for a suitable HOB filter plus.... I'll never have to change the filter media. I call that a win!

Api leaf zone until I get the cycle done and critters in. Then I'll just let them suck up nitrates.

Do you need plants? I have some that should do well in that tank. PM me.
That tank is an open canvas. My shrimp tank (under construction at the moment) is a 20L. Lots of room.

Yay Fresh! Get 'im!

I've got Marsilea coming in next week, going to see if he wants any. Also offered the mopani DW from my 5.5. I can't wait to see how it turns out~~~

I will hijack some of the marisilea. I'm thinking all bright greens for plants to let the shrimp really stand out... If I can find a nice piece of bonsai driftwood that won't break the bank I'd probably go a bit goofy over it.

@Fresh I'm checking out the pm now
