My 225 Stocking list

this is what im planning on stocking my 225 gallon aquarium with
11 clown loach's
6 tinfoil barbs
5 bala sharks
1 silver arowana
3 african dwarf frogs
Already own Fish below
1 Black Ghost knife fish
1. Kuhli loach
3 Sun burst platys
1 irridecent shark
1 common pleco
1 convict cichlid
1 ram cichlid
2 eclipse cat fish
2 angle fish
tank will be filtered with a fluval fx5
sand as a bottom
maybe planted not sure yet

I'm concerned about the Arowana. It gets 36", and will likely eat anything under 12", especially the ram. It could possibly get aggressive with the Bala Sharks, as they're shiny, smaller than it, and very pushy. It will DEFINITELY eat the frogs. Definitely eat the platies.

Other than that, looks good.

IMO, that's over stocked. Loaches can grow around 12" alone. Throw in the arrowana, and he's gonna take up a lot of room, like 3 ft room. Now for the small fish getting sloshed in there, and it just too much. I'd cut back on Loaches and some of the other fish if ur gonna keep arrowana's. Their considered part of the monster fish keepers group.

The platies are lucky to be alive. The iridecent shark takes up the most room with out a doubt.

IMO thats overstocked. 11 clown loaches is very excessive. The arowana will eat some of the fish on your stocklist. It needs a bit of twiquing.

1 convict cichlid nipped, very aggressive
1 ram cichlid eaten
2 eclipse cat fish nipped
2 angle fish nipped, eaten
tank will be filtered with a fluval fx5
sand as a bottom
maybe planted not sure yet

If you want these fish, go buy a 800 gal tank. I put notes next to each fish as to what will happen to it.

irridecent sharks are very very peacful and the only way a fish could possible die is if it gets accidentally sucked into its mouth.

Thats not the experience I've had it ate everything and left a disaster of small chunks of fish.

225 is a big tank, but it's nowhere close to big enough for that stocking list.

I would take out the frogs and the Tinfoil Barbs.

Thats nice i actually have 2 with rams, cories, tetras, cae and several other bite sized tank mates.

I'd say keep the arowana, 6 loaches, and pleco. Find a mid-swimmer that will be peaceful; you can try a couple more Baka sharks. Then you'll be fine.
