Beautiful peacock!! Tank isn't my cup of tea but then again what's important is that YOU like it! :)

We're not here to judge or bash anyone's tank.

I will leave with some advice, your tank is way too small for those fish. Have you seen how. Big your Venustus gets?!

Almost a foot! And there aggressive and... You have two PLUS a peaceful peacock who is stunning. I don't this turning out well when they get older.

Again I'm just offering up some information you may be interested in.

Good luck.

Unfortunately I wasent told at my local pet store how big they would get. The store knew the size tank I purchased but failed to tell me that these venustus would not be good for my tank. After I did some research on these fish I went to my pet store and they said I could bring them back and they would give me store credit. I cant turn the peacock back in though too in love with him. I will however have to part ways if he gets too big, but hopefully by then I will have a bigger tank.

It happens. Don't feel bad or blame yourself. Bad advice from a pet store is all to common. Your doing the right thing for your fish and for you. The peacock is beautiful though...

Hopefully you can get an upgrade eventually.

Good luck

Thank you, I also have a female peacock in a seperate tank who just spit out her first fry. Hoping they do ok and are just as colorful as their parents. They are only a day old and Im a little new at this.
