Ok sorry for the super long delay, school's getting busy so not a ton of time for tank stuff. After I finish my homework I'll put up some pics of the tank all nice and cleared up.

It has been many hours, were is the pics? Do i need to start handing out the pitch forks and torches.

Ok I got the test kit today, and I feel stupid. I can't figure out what the color is!! I must be color blind.. I'm going to re-test and put the results up, from what I saw the nitrates are 30, the ammonia is 0, the PH is 8.2, nitrite is 0, and the SG is 1.022.

Anything seem screwy with those results?

I took out my skimmer, it's producing way too many micro bubbles in the display. When I get another empty apple juice bottle I'm going to try a different design lol.

Next project is making an external fuge... The only problem is there's not enough room under the stand =(. I kinda want to keep the ATO res. I have, but it takes up a lot of room.

But yes, there will be pics.

Ok I got pics! Nothing exciting, seeing as I have no new additions.

I think I'm color blind, I can't figure out the test results D;
Sad I know..

I'm thinking this is just dust and debris, but could it possibly be a sign of life in the tank?

And yes, the apple skimmer is gone. (for now)

Ok now for the test results I can't tell apart. xD

I see them as:

PH 8.2
nitrite .50
nitrate 20
ammonia .50

In reverse order:

If I'm wrong on these, what's the best way to compare the colors? holding the tube vertical to the chart?

Compare the colors against the white part of the chart outside it'll be easier to read.

okay, i can tell that the ammonia is at 0 or possibly a very slightly higher than 0.

Your nitrite looks to be a "0" also, If this holds up for a couple of days you are good to go.
