Looks great what size is it and what are you gonna stock?

It's a 30 gallon. It's 4ft long. I will stock it with a school or two if tetras. Cory cats and maybe some rams

It's slowly but surely coming along. I'm going to get plants today.

wow, that looks huge for a 30 gallon.

edit I love your stand, did you build it yourself?

I was thinking the same thing... Honestly I thought it was a 55 or bigger haha

Yes I did! And yes it does look big. I wanted it to look long and tall but be narrow! It looks like a 55

I didn't know 30 gallons came in 4 foot long. I think there is a standard 33 that does though. That's wicked. I'm getting a 50 but it's only 3 feet. Would be awesome to have it long like that.

What wood did you use for that? Looks nice and chunky. I think we are going to build a stand for our 50 and I'm a bit stressed about it holding the weight.

Yes I made the tank and stand. The wood is pine. I put cedar under the tank. I have built four stands for a 30,55,70,36. I've had no problems with weight

It's hard work but it allows you to build what you want and usually it's way cheaper

this is sort of my thoughts as well. I could only imagine what I'd need to spend to buy a stand for a 50 gallon and I'm cheap. lol.

Is the cedar for stretch or because of the risk of spillage?

It was just some left over wood in our barn. But cedar does well with water also

ahh, awesome. Makes sense. Can't wait to see the finished products, you are going to have some supper happy fish with all that horizontal space.

It's getting there

Looks great! Has a very simple and clean look to it but to keep that feel your gonna have to stay on top of maintenance ;)
