My new 55 gallon tank

I am already settled on a blue jack dempsey and a gold severum but wondering what other fish go in(or out). I was wondering about a farlowella? Uv steriliser for the ebjd? 55 gallon tank enough?

Would not add a whiptail to that tank the ebjd would probably find it quite tasty once its larger.

As long as you control your feeding shouldnt need a steriliser imho anyway. Spend the money on something like a fish or a better filter than you were planning.

Could even chose a canister that has one included it .

I think 55 is too small for both a JD and a Severum. I had a JD in a 55, eventually rehomed him, when he got full size he was miserable.

I agree, the Dempsey would need at least a 75. A rainbow cichlid could be nice.

Thanks for the replies, so the ebjd in the 55 or is it that to small. Don't mind having no severum but what else could I have that is small enough but the ebjd won't beat up

With ebjd, they would get bullied a bit. What about a blue acara
