Name that fish

Hi All

Trying to learn more about the fish i have. This one ive had about 2.5 years, didnt have a clue when i got him.

Done alot of googling, struggling to find anything the same colour. Think it maybe be some sort of “African Butterfly Cichlid” (Maybe Anomalochromis thomasi?)

Can anyone confirm what it is so i can look into this species more.

How big would you say your jewel is?

Id say he is about 4.5 inches from mouth to end of fin. About the length of an iPhone.

Had him for about 2.5 years. He seems happy and healthy but worried my tanks too small for him (60 litre) can't wait to move home and get a bigger tank!

You definitely need a bigger tank though.About 200 litres would be perfect.
