Name the hybrid! :-)

Ok so I was cleaning my main decoration and decided this was the best time to take a pic of my "hybrid" platies! (I say hybrid because I have never seen any other in any lfs)
I have 3, 2 females 1 male, they have very high and pronounced fins on their top, both females are stricked black and the male actually is a tad blue on the belly! All 3 have some type of Mickey Mouse at the beginning of the tail

Btw, what is it with fish that when you want to take the tank in picture it looks empty, and when you want just one fish the whole gang show up.. Anywase Lol thanks!

We sold these as Hi Fin Platies. It is a known type. They are good looking fish.

Thanks! Can't wait to see how the fry turn out! I love them they don't look like any other platy I have

Agreed, they are hi fin platies.

I've heard some folks suggest that domesticated platies are likely hybrids of X. variatus and X. maculatus somewhere down the line, so in that sense you're probably right.
