The sho CFL's are super high output spiral lights there not too expensive but you would have to do some diy work, metal halides are very intense lights used in hydroponics and whatnot

22" is pretty deep mabey with something like this you might not have to upgrade later on just replacing bulbs will add up

Are the blue moon LED lights for night time? Will they bother the sleeping fish?

Moonlight led lighting is for nighttime, they won't bother the fish, they actually help with breeding habits in some cases. If you get the fancy ones, they'll match phases of the moon, super cool. They are by no means mandatory though, just a cool bonus.

Well, they are dimmable, and used on a controller. The controller tells the dimmer (a potentiometer) how much power it should get and for how long.
