So since I have started keeping fish I have noticed that my neons have the shortest life span. On an intersting note, one of my neons from the very first batch i purchased back in November is still kicking. I only know this because he lost an eye on what I believe was from plant decor and I felt terrible about it . But he is still doing very well. I recently bought ten when I had about 5 and after checking yesterday I am now down to 12 The ones that seem to die off venture off alone a lot and end up deteriorating on the bottom or my gold fish finds it and eats it which I think is strange. I have a feeling that they are just unhealthy when I recieve them because my tank is zero at all levels with a ph of 7. My german rams are doing well so if they are ok there is absolutely no reason for my tetras to be dieing off. Whats the deal is this common? I would prefer a hardier schooling fish if this is the case.
