I have six nerite snails in my 55 gallon planted tank to help with algae control, and they recently started laying dozens of eggs in my driftwood. Is there anyway to remove effectively these eggs without having to take out the driftwood (which would be impossible because its so large and overgrown)?

Nerite eggs on DW can be popped or scraped off. If they bother me I use my long sissors or tweezers which are 24" long and just pop them off. If you can't reach them the will dissolve over time. I have found using liquid carbon in my planted tanks at a rate of 1ml per every 2 gallons of water really seems to keep my nerites from laying many eggs.
